The 1955 Formula One World Championship is one of the most dramatic and tragic seasons in the history of the sport. The season consist of seven races, and it is heavily marked by the dominance of Mercedes-Benz, but also by the shadow of a devastating accident that forever change the sport. Mercedes-Benz continues their reign of superiority, with Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss leading the charge in the powerful W196 cars. Fangio secured his third World Drivers' Championship title in a dominant fashion, winning four of the six races he finishes, including the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix and the British Grand Prix.
